Dr. Cecille Bolton is a native and current resident of Atlanta, Georgia, who has been teaching special education for 17 years, nine with Fulton County Schools, and now entering her eighth with Atlanta Public Schools. Dr. Bolton is current Prekindergarten grade chair and member of the APS PK-3rd grade Council (P3C). As a P3C member, Dr. Bolton and fellow colleagues share their experitise, ideas, and strategies for supporting students, teachers, and caregivers in an effort to advocate for early learners. Prior to beginning a career in education, she attended Tri-Cities High School as a member of the performing arts magnet program. She continued her educational endeavors, graduating from Clark Atlanta University, with a major in Mass Communications, concentrating in Journalism. Dr. Bolton continued her educational endeavors by attending University of Phoenix where she obtained a master’s in Special Education Cross-Categorical, Education Specialist and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership/Educational Technology. Dr. Bolton has a passion for giving her all and being hands-on when creating opportunities for learning that encompasses all learners. She takes pride in her ability to adapt to environments, people, and situations by building meaningful relationships, appreciating positive surroundings, and serving students of all needs.
