Amy Kay

UGA Child Development Lab at McPhaul
Dr. Amy M. Kay has been the director of the Child Development Lab at the McPhaul Center for over 14 years and, until recently, followed a traditional protocol for overseeing all teachers in the program. Before becoming an administrator, Dr. Kay taught for thirteen years—ten in the Clarke County School District and three in as a two-year old teacher. As part of her current appointment at the University of Georgia, Dr. Kay teaches "Parenting and Child Guidance" to HDFS undergraduate and graduate students and actively serves on the Early Care and Learning Strategic Action Team in Clarke County, as well as other state and national boards.
