Georgia PreK Teacher, GAEYC Nominations and Development Chair
Melanie Ingram started her Early Childhood Education career in 2011, earning her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood from Northwest Florida State College. While working on her degree she gained experience and training from Northwest Florida State College's Child Development Education Center; a NAEYC accredited lab school/training program. During that time Melanie was active in local Education Associations and spoke on developmentally appropriate practices at a conference hosted by one of the ECE Associations. After a family move relocated Melanie to North Georgia, she quickly became involved with GAEYC by volunteering, and networking with various ECE professionals. Melanie now teaches as a Georgia PreK teacher at Kids R Kids in East Cobb. Melanie is an advocate for play based learning and incorporating the natural environments in play while teaching developmentally appropriate practices. Throughout her career, Melanie has always considered herself a life-long learner, and enjoys sharing her passion and enthusiasm of Early Childhood with everyone she encounters.
